End
Since April, 1998 the Black Hollywood Education and Resource Center (BHERC, at www.bherc.org) has conducted a write-in campaign asking President Clinton to expunge the records of the African American men who served in Port Chicago during World War II and received less-than-honorable discharges. We urge you to join that campaign, in one or more of the following ways:

  • Write, call or email the President
A sample letter is provided. Print it out, sign your name and mail it to the address on the letter.

  • Contact your Senator, Member of Congress
A sample letter urging support is provided, to send via e-mail or snail-mail (US mail). Contact information for all Senators and Members of Congress is provided.

  • Tell others
This campaign relies on word of mouth, thus it is essential that we all tell everyone we know, and urge them to join the campaign. A form and sample letter is provided.

  • Link to us
Add a text or graphic link from your site to ours. And (if you want) we will add your site to our growing list of supporters.
